Why do the japanese guilds love hexers?
This could be renamed as a discussion on different playstyles of different regions, but mainly I'm curious about Japan. It seems to me like the vast majority of their teams run hex builds, while very few top guilds in other regions seem to (ci being the only exception I can think of off the top of my head). Why do you think that is? Something about the opponents they play that makes hexers more effective maybe?
A penny for your thoughts~

Necro raiders, off the top of my head (although Idon't know exactly what build they run) run heavy hex-pressure too.

It could be that they are approaching the game with few existing presumptions about what makes a strong offense, and haven't been influenced as strongly by what the other top guilds have run in the past.

NR's build is what I'd imagine people who just picked up the game would run. A meleemancer with dismember and vamp bite? Interupt mesmers with backfire and migraine? Soul leech? And Ice spear spamming water ele? Yet they're rank 50ish, I think. Kinda funny.
Anyway, back on topic, I don't know how hexes can really be efficiant with all the expels and interrupts on almost every team. I haven't gotten to see to many japanese guilds play, though, so of course my opinion doesn't ount for much(just wanted to put in my thought about NR's build :P)

Honestly NR owns. They have a very strong spike built into their build. And its funny because they have always been running a build with a N/W. For the first GWWC qualifiers they had ralin with a sword.

Who knows, maybe they are trying to get the meta to shift away from all the heavy melee in builds you see now.

In a game populated by fotm, it's refreshing to see a guild having success with an unconventional build. That goes for NR or the japanese guilds running hexes.
